Here's another tip about the color pink: In color psychology, pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings, a sense that everything will be okay.

Obviously when I found this dress with the pink tones I just couldn't resist sharing it with you!

]]><![CDATA[Candy Buffets - Sarasota wedding photographers]]>Sun, 04 Nov 2012 00:33:50 GMThttp://www.nelsonphotographers.com/1/post/2012/11/cany-buffets-sarasota-wedding-photographers.htmlWhen it comes to wedding favors their is an abundance of choices.  I still have to say one of my all time favorities is the candy buffet.  It brings out the little child in us.  People young and old have been seen to squeel with delight when they see a candy buffet like this.
In previous posts we've talked about where to find jars for your tasty treats.  Today I'm going to show you some candy options to fill those pretty glass jars with.
Obviously you don't need to choose all these candy types although they do look quite yummy!  Remember all these items should be miniature size.  We're not talking about full size chocolates.

Her choice was to not use candy bars but instead items that could be easily scooped out and place in those cute little chinese containers shown here in this photo we took.

This candy buffet was an absolutely huge success!

]]><![CDATA[Do Brides Want Their Wedding Photos Posted Online By Guests?]]>Wed, 24 Oct 2012 13:25:08 GMThttp://www.nelsonphotographers.com/1/post/2012/10/do-brides-want-their-wedding-photos-posted-online-by-guests.html I just came across a very interesting article from the Huffington Post.  Facebook did a survey and the results were "Brides were unhappy with guests posting photos online without their approval".

Of course as a photographer & videographer I was especially interested in this article since time and again we've seen people with their phones taking photos of the couple along with other guests and posting them up online immediately before the bride or groom have even seen them.  I often wondered how many brides really like that happening.  I know I wouldn't be too excited about that.  Now this survey shows brides aren't either.

The truth of the matter is you hire a professional photographer & videographer to capture these special moments.  You want to look your best.  There's even anxious anticipation waiting to see what your wedding photos will look like.  You don't want that spoiled. Perhaps that's the reason 60% of the brides said they didn't like the way they looked in the photos posted online and 75% of the brides didn't even know they were posted.  

Then again according to the survey there are couples who want their guests to post online even using a hastag so it gets uploaded to their wedding website.  Now with the digital age you can even post video immediately online.

What can you do If you don't want your friends posting online without your approval?  I have heard of couples announcing to their wedding guests that they do not want photos of any type taken.   Couples could also include in their wedding invitations that they do not want guests to post photos of their event online.
