It also increases enthusiasm and stimulates energy. Red can also encourage action and confidence. Maybe that’s why you love that red dress so much!
Now we can see red certainly has its benefits. There is however a time when red is definitely not a benefit when it comes to your wedding. Ready? It’s when you get sunburned and turn red!
Think back to that magazine with the woman on the cover. Remember your were drawn to her red lips? Ask yourself this VERY important question. “Do I want people staring at my red sunburned photographs?” No you don’t. Trust me on this.
You see the problem is the sun here in Florida is EXTREMELY strong. You can have sunburn before you even know it. I personally have experienced this. Not that long ago I had a friend come for a visit. We decided to all take a drive to the beach. We got carried away picking up sharks teeth and shells. Before I knew it my shoulders were burning. I had the worst sunburn ever! I should have known to put on suntan lotion but I didn’t think we’d be out that long.
Now imagine its 2 days before your wedding. All you really wanted was just a little color. A beautiful suntan against that white dress will be awesome. Unfortunately now you glow in the dark! Oh and did I forget to mention the pain! OUCH! Ah but your smarter now and know how NOT to incorporate red into your wedding!
I think it’s important we also take a moment to mention something else with regard to tanning. You need to take into consideration when and how you lay out. The sun is the strongest between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. In Florida during the summer I would say that time can easily stretch till 4 p.m. Just like the red lipstick people are drawn to your tan lines. Exercise caution. Once you have those tan lines there is very little you can do. Yes you can get airbrushed by a make up artist but at a cost. Certainly this is an expense that can easily be avoided with careful planning.
So lather up that suntan lotion. Avoid getting your face and nose red and peeling for your special day. Watch those tan lines and when your walk down the isle glowing it won’t be because of your red sunburn it will be that beautiful inner glow we will capture in your wedding day photographs.
Now this is the time to really enjoy the sun in Florida.....
By applying these tips you will have the best wedding day ever!
